Job DescriptionThe Indiana University East School of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking applicants for Assistant Professor (tenure-track or clinical rank) and/or Lecturer in Nursing positions, with a specialty in medical surgical nursing. Opportunity to teach in the BSN, RN to BSN mobility option, and MSN programs. Positions begin spring 2023. Candidates for all full-time faculty positions must demonstrate a strong desire to excel in teaching and provide ongoing support for student success, in and out of the classroom, interacting with a diverse student and faculty community. Candidates for tenure-track positions must also have an interest in building a sustainable program of research, scholarship and/or creative activity. This position is for the academic year, tenure-track or long-term lecturer position. H-1B visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Assistant Professor– Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field required for assistant professor; in all cases, 18 graduate credit hours in nursing is required.- Evidence of eligibility for licensure in Indiana.- Minimum of 2 years of practice as a registered nurse (RN).- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.- Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain a program of research or scholarship.- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional and collaborative team environment.- Demonstrated understanding of the value of diversity of faculty, staff, and students in an academic setting.- Experience/education in psychiatric mental health specialty.

Required Qualifications: Lecturer– A master's degree in nursing; convertible lecturer to assistant professor position available to those in doctoral study. In all cases, 18 graduate credit hours in nursing is required.- Evidence of eligibility for licensure in Indiana.- Minimum of 2 years of practice as a registered nurse (RN).- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional and collaborative team environment.- Demonstrated understanding of the value of diversity of faculty, staff, and students in an academic setting.- Experience/education in psychiatric mental health specialty.

Preferred Qualifications: Assistant Professor and Lecturer– Experience as a nursing educator, as well as certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) considered a plus.
