POSITION SUMMARY:
This full-time position
will teach in the graduate and undergraduate programs; will serve as a liaison between USF College of Nursing and designated clinical
facilities; provide onsite nursing care to clients residing in the Salvation Army facility and in the Recuperative Care Program (RCP);
mentor and provide clinical oversight to undergraduate and graduate nursing students; and engage in college, university, community, and
professional service activities that commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor.

This position's assignment will be in the
Tampa region, specifically onsite at the Salvation
Army.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CLINICAL:
This nursing position includes the following
duties and responsibilities:
Phone triage, hands on patient care, medication administration, lab processing
Coordination with
facilities for discharge planning and intake to the Recuperative Care Program at the Red Shield Center
Functions as a liaison between
patients, staff, and providers to ensure delivery of a patient centered model of care
May assist providers and staff with the daily
coordination of patient care to facilitate efficient patient flow and provider access
Reports to and collaborates with the USF College of
Nursing Director of Alumni and Community Relations, College of Nursing Medical Director, and the Executive
Director

TEACHING:
Clinical and online instruction as it pertains to the clinical site and patient
population
Oversight of undergraduate nursing students doing clinical at the site
Program and curriculum review and clinical site and
student evaluation

ADMINISTRATIVE/SERVICE:
Serve on college and university committees where
appropriate
Community and professional service activities as appropriate

OTHER DUTIES:
Opportunities for
scholarly activity, publications, and presentations
Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION
QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree
appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Normally
will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals and be a recognized authority
in the field of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Must be eligible to
practice and maintain a current licensure as an RN in the state of Florida.

PREFERRED:
Qualified candidates will
possess a PhD in Nursing or DNP; be eligible to practice and maintain licensure as an RN in the state of Florida. Demonstrated record of
achievement in scholarship.

Experience with technology supported educational methods (online or blended format); demonstrated ability
to work effectively with community partners; experience with diverse learners; current clinical practice experience with the adult patient
population; experience teaching in an academic baccalaureate program in a university setting.
