Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to the role of Associate Degree Nursing Instructor. The Associate Degree Nursing Instructor will be dedicated to student success and to meeting the diverse needs of our students in the Nursing program. Applicants should possess expertise in the field of Nursing and have a desire to work in a collaborative, learning-centered environment focused on student learning and success. Coursework for Associate Degree Instructors may include, but is not limited to courses such as Basic Concepts in Nursing, Common and Complex Health Problems, Nursing Care Management, etc.

About the Tri-County Technical College Associate Degree Nursing Program
The Associate Degree Nursing program prepares students to function effectively as registered nurses in a health care team. Nursing theory is integrated with supportive courses from the humanities, mathematics, biological and behavioral sciences. Student entry is based on acceptance into the clinical portion of the program. Enrollment in the major courses begins in the Fall and Spring terms. Four semesters are required to complete the degree.
 
 Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Teach assigned courses using systematically planned and delivered instruction for the program.

Review, evaluate and revise on a continuing basis course objectives, instructional materials, and course syllabi. Design new courses as needed. Insure compliance with all accrediting guidelines.

Serve as academic advisor to students and participate in student recruitment and development.

Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement and assign grades for the program.

Participate in professional development activities to improve teaching competence and to stay current in teaching field; serve on College committees and participate in recruiting and marketing activities.

Other duties as required by the Department Head.

Tri-County Technical College’s mission is to serve the communities within Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. The College is also part of a state-wide system of sixteen technical colleges. We enroll 6,000 - 7,000 students each year in more than 70 major fields of study, including engineering technology, industrial technology, business, computer and information technology, public service, human services, healthcare, and university transfer programs.
