Basic Functions

This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time faculty (up to 67%) or temporary substitute assignments on an as needed basis.

We accept applications on a continual basis.

Departments or Divisions will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments.

Applicants will remain in the pool for 12 months.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in nursing OR bachelor's degree in nursing AND master's degree in health education or health science OR the equivalent from an accredited school with a minimum of three (3) years of recent full-time clinical experience in pediatric/maternal child nursing setting; current licensure in California.

Preferred

  • Teaching experience at the associate or baccalaureate level and strong written and clinical skills.
  • Experience in caring for infant, children, and adolescents in the health setting.
  • Expertise in growth and developmental, pediatric health assessment, family and pediatric medication administration.

We will be using the guidelines set by the Academic Affairs Division of the Chancellor's Office, California Community Colleges.
