Major/Essential Functions

Works closely with the trauma and critical care divisions. 
Rounding on patients at affiliated hospitals and reporting directly to the attending physician. 
Rounding with and teaching medical students. 
Provide clinical support in the Surgery Practice setting.

Occasional Duties

Rotating weekend call among other Faculty Associates with the departments.

Required Qualifications

Graduate degree in a an academic subject, professional discipline, or technical skill in the area in which the incumbent will work

Preferred Qualifications

Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program; current RN license in the State of Texas or have the ability to transfer your license to Texas. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate nursing specialty from an approved certification program as recognized by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advance Practitioner.

Must have experience in direct patient care in an emergency or critical care setting.

Pay Statement
