Major/Essential Functions

Will provide PRN services to include assisting LVN, physician, and physician assistant; direct patients to exam rooms; take patient vital signs; other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Occasional Duties

Employees in this classification are responsible for performing a wide variety of care activities in an assigned specialty or subspecialty outpatient clinic on an as-needed basis. The incumbent is assigned per the direction of the local Director of Nursing Services. Work is performed as part of a total healthcare team in providing complete evaluations to patients.

Required Qualifications

Due to the broad nature of work found in this job, the hiring manager will determine the minimum qualifications for a particular job. The qualifications will be commensurate with the level and nature of work to be performed. Have you completed a nursing assistant training course or have at least six months of experience as a nursing assistant?  Have you completed a nursing medical assistant or relevant medical training course or have six months of experience in a medical setting providing direct patient care?

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website.
