Job Summary

This position is for a Full Time Tenure Track 12-month Assistant Professor position in the School of Nursing at Radford University, The position provides opportunities for collaborative practice and scholarship with a variety of disciplines within the University. Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship and service with the expectation of recent clinical practice. Requirements include the education, leadership experience, clinical experience, certification and desire to teach in the clinical setting in the undergraduate and/or graduate programs.

Required Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing with a Doctorate in Nursing. Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with the education, leadership experience, certification and desire to teach subject matter determined by the School of Nursing. Recent clinical experience desired. Prior teaching experience in the classroom, online, and in the clinical practice setting is preferred. FNP with leadership experience preferred.


Master of Science in Nursing with a Doctorate in Nursing.

Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility is required. This position requires current CPR certification. If certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse, continued certification is expected.
